Terms of Service

By accessing this website or engaging in a project with Green Quill Studios, you agree to the following terms. These terms constitute a binding agreement between you ("the Client") and Green Quill Studios.

1. Use of Services

Green Quill Studios provides professional video production, editing, and digital design services. You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

2. Intellectual Property

• Our Assets: All content on this website—including text, branding, and original video—is the property of Green Quill Studios.

• Client Work: This site features video and media produced for our clients. Green Quill Studios maintains full contractual marketing permissions to showcase this work. You may not reproduce, distribute, or "scrape" any client media featured here for any purpose.

• Project Ownership: Ownership of custom deliverables remains with Green Quill Studios until the project is paid for in full. Upon final delivery and full payment, the Client is granted the usage rights as outlined in their specific project contract.

3. Payments & Retainers

• Upfront Requirement: We operate on an upfront payment or retainer basis. No work will commence, and no production dates will be locked in, until payment is cleared.

• No Refunds: As stated in our Refund Policy, all payments are final.

4. Retainer & Deliverable Expiration

To maintain a consistent production schedule, we do not allow for the "banking" of services.

• No Rollovers: Unused deliverables, editing hours, or filming days included in a monthly retainer do not roll over to the following month.

• Expiration: Any service not utilized within the billing cycle for which it was purchased is considered forfeited. It is the Client’s responsibility to provide assets and requests in time to fulfill the monthly quota.

5. Client Responsibilities

To keep your project on schedule, you agree to:

• Provide all necessary raw footage, brand assets, and information in a timely manner.

• Respond to revision requests within 3 business days.

• Note: Delays in client communication or asset delivery will result in an automatic pushback of the final delivery date. Green Quill Studios is not responsible for missed deadlines or forfeited retainer services caused by client delays.

6. Limitation of Liability

Green Quill Studios provides creative services "as is." While we strive for excellence, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages—including loss of revenue, data, or social media standing—arising from the use of our services, technical failures of third-party platforms, or the performance of your content.

7. Third-Party Tools & Platforms

We often use third-party tools (like Frame.io, Dropbox, or Google Drive) and deliver content for third-party platforms (like YouTube or Instagram). We are not responsible for the uptime, policies, or sudden algorithm changes of these outside services.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Michigan.

9. Modifications

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
